  • Pray for others!

Are you mindful of others in your prayers? Are others mindful of you in their prayers? We should be praying for a better us, we should pray for better persons that surround us. We are mindful of our neighbors and therefore we pray! We bring them before God in prayer. This is the life stream of prayer. We pray for ourselves and we pray for others! Prayers by others for the Apostle Paul were equally important to him and he relied much on them for their prayers. Paul was never ashamed to solicit prayers for himself nor was he reluctant to PRAY for others. ''ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me'' Rom.15:30 The great apostle Paul had mighty events happening during his ministry, among them being his amazing conversion on the road to Damascus. He had remarkable revelation of Christ's life, death and resurrection yet he understood that he must still PRAY! The Apostle had much love for the early church. His love for them allowed for Him to carry their burdens to the LORD in prayer. How can anyone be used as a vessel for souls if he does not love souls? The love for souls and the love for others will place a burden on the believer. This burden is the yoke of the Holy Spirit. Burdens are meant to be brought before God. Interceding for others and others for you is the prayer life of the church. To be prayerful concerning others can only be reaped with great reward. Finally, we bring glory to God when we have a heart to pray for others because it brings into existence the fulfillment of His desires and plans for them. The LORD does things through prayer and therefore prayer must not be neglected! Watch and Pray without ceasing!

  • Be honest before a Holy God!

The good done to me is often hindered by the bad committed by the same person. The task to forgive is never in doubt yet the pain still remains. Is it true that the pain caused by loved ones hurt the most? To reconcile the good and the bad done to me by the same person is never easy! Quoting scripture is easy but living scripture takes a toll if the Holy Spirit is denied access. Whilst others focus on the person's good of which is all they know, the victim has to battle with the good and the bad done by the same person. In the passing or death of a loved one, tribute is never their wrongs and rightly so. Yet honesty is seldom overpowered by denial. The truth is that not all pain vanishes into thin air. Perhaps in many ways it is there to remain as a spiritual limp that humbles us even further! And so as the world cheers the good done by him that has hurt me most, I to have an obligation to be thankful for the good done to me by the same. Whilst the world cheers him who has hated me most and yet also has done the most good to me, I remain weak in understanding this dilemma. Many today are in this position and feel obligated that the pain must be erased from mind and the focus should be on the good instead! Being Spirit filled never always erases pain and for most part because we refuse to be honest to God about it! We have settled that we must forgive and get on! But how? The carnal mind can never do so alone! When the believer is honest about this mystery he is then helped by the Lord to carry the burden or simply release it all. In both cases there is a comfort and life goes on. But only with the Lord by your side! The truth is that pain can still remain to humble us but not unforgivenes. Love is patient and waits on God for Him to do as He pleases! Denial of hurt is never an option yet honesty before a Holy God is! Pray without ceasing!

  • Quality time with God

We ask and receive simply because it was in the will of God in the first place. God is never obligated to man’s asking, if anything God is ‘obligated’ to His own will. Our relationship with God effects this will. Knowing more of heaven helps man to know God’s will. The more time one spends with someone the more familiar that person becomes to us. The more familiar is that one! Whatever it may be, the rule is the same. It becomes more usual, more regular and more established. It is not something foreign instead it is relevant and becomes applicable to where we are and what becomes of us. We begin to see the importance of it. Prayer allows for man to be established in the things of God. When a man is established as such, he becomes one of good reputation, one that can be trusted by Heaven and one who becomes reliable with the things of God here on earth. The more we pray the less strange and unfamiliar shall the desires of this world become. Spending quality time with God is important. Pray without ceasing!

  • The Table of the Lord-Communion

Communion serves very little or no purpose if we do not first believe who we are in Christ and Christ being in us. The conclusion of this is that communion is the reality of who I am and what Christ is to me. My understanding thereof should no longer make it just a symbol of the body and life of Christ. My physical pair of eyes is not a symbol of my ability to see in the flesh but rather a real part of me with a purpose. There is a purpose in me being in Christ. That purpose is always Christ ordained and for the fulfillment of His purpose. Together with Christ I then become pleasing unto God! It serves the believer nothing should he partake of the Table as some symbol. The believer is the life of Christ, which the unbeliever is not! My remembrance is built into my consistency in partaking thereof! The more I partake the more I become aware of who I am! My consistency must surely make me more aware of my purpose here on earth. That purpose is not fulfilled just by knowledge but together with Him being in me. I am unable to fulfill any divine plan unless Christ is in me. Yet before purpose, I must have the knowledge of who I am! And then is my purpose fulfilled. I am in Christ and Christ is in me! The Church Should it not then be obvious that my fellow members are now a part of me if they too are in Christ. The purpose of me being here on earth cannot be truly fulfilled if I am not working in commune with the church. My hands and feet serves very little purpose should my eyes be absent from my body. Or my eyes serves very little purpose to the rest of my body should I be able to see only dimly. The church walks with a limp if she refuses to see my significance. The race is hindered and my fellowmen are deprived in many ways! The Importance of Prayer The highest level of prayer must surely be when His body gathers together to pray. Yet again it benefits very little if we do not together agree regarding our requests and the hope of fulfillment. Community of the church is the very essence of the prayer taught by Jesus. Therefore the prayer begins with "Our Father" Is this not the reason why "a cord of three strands is not quickly broken" Let us pray! Dear Lord open my spiritual eyes to see your purpose of me being on earth. Then help me to know that I am unable to fulfill this without my fellow believers. May those who do not see my significance in the church become aware of this. Open their spiritual eyes I pray. Amen!

  • Mothers on Mother's Day

There's something different about mothers prayers because it comes with immense honesty and no flaws! Let's be thankful to the Lord for mothers who were given immense strength to overcome many battles in life. May the Lord recognize all the sacrifices they have made. Many have quietly kept their children in consistent prayer over the years and still do. And unknown to us those very prayers have been the result of us overcoming through the years. As parents it is now our duty to keep our children and grandchildren in consistent prayer. To all mothers may you continue to pray and seek the wisdom of God. Blessings!

  • How does God work when I Pray?

When God works with the heart, which he does first, there comes many changes. One of them is our requests. When I began to pray there were many things which are no longer on my list of requests today. My requests were different and many had to be abandoned and never included in my prayers again. Where they all requests that were ungodly? No! They were just not meant for me at the time. God gave me a change of heart which meant that the timing of my requests was also dealt with. The timing of my request was put in order. I also found myself praying for people, situations and things that mattered to Him. Prior to this I personally would never have concerned myself about them. Yet I was now praying for things that mattered to the Lord. I knew this to be true as there was a witness in my spirit as I prayed. I could sense they were a burden from the Lord himself. We carry the suffering of the Lord so that we receive the same comfort He did. 2 Corinthians 1.4. We must be willing for God to have His way inspite of our requests! Watch and Pray!

  • The Holy Spirit and Understanding the Ways of God

Understanding the ways of God requires a desire to know what the spiritual hides from the believer. God's intent is never to hide but to reveal. Hiding comes because of man's lack of seriousness to know God in depth. When the Lord sees a man who desires to know then his spiritual eyes are opened to see beyond the natural. Revelation of the supernatural comes because of a strong desire in man to know his God. Genuine desire is evidence to God that man has made His Kingdom first priority. All that shall follows are the results of first seeking! Awake and Pray!

  • Spiritual Maintenance

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to do for man what man cannot by himself. By nature man is sinful! In Jesus saving man does not keep him from sinning but rather saves him from eternal judgement. Man's consistency in keeping away from that which hinders God is the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God reveals much yet also has the divine power to keep us from sinning. The believer gives reign to the Spirit for this to happen. Intimacy with Him reveals our desire and builds on just that. Even if the Spirit is involved in desiring God, there is always a measure of man's initiative! The more we allow the Holy Spirit reign in our lives the more deeper we are submerged in spiritual matters of a Heavenly kind! Wise is the man that gives total control to the Spirit of God for his spiritual maintenance. Awake and Pray!

  • Intimacy with God First

Our intimacy with God betters our intimacy with man. Better people are those who love their fellowmen. Better people are those who communicate well with others. If this is not so then where have we failed? Failure in peaceful dialogue with others is easy to see. It is spirit related! My lack of surrender to God reveals my unwillingness to forgive man and therefore walk in peace with him. My lack in dialogue with God leaves much room for the enemy to have his way. For in my communication with God, it is then revealed to me when my relationship with man is not in order. For most part it would seem fine to seperate myself from my fellowman but have I done so in peace. Waking in the Spirit is always peace related. It is always forgiving and love related. And so this is important in bringing man to God. In contrast we often judge and the result is that man strives further away from eternal life. For when he sees my outward manifestation of peace and love, he is convinced that he to can be a better person. It is then that he enquires how could this be so? And he soon finds that it is possible with our Lord and so begins his journey of salvation! Awake and Pray!

  • Never Lack Your Engagement with God

The more we communicate the more we get to know. Man's engagement with God must never be lacking! For in consistent engagement with God we come to know the unknown. Man is in need to have a glimpse of the unknown inorder for him to survive whilst here in earth. We are therefore given the Holy Spirit! The Spirit of God makes known to man the secrets of the kingdom and the destination of the believer. This encourages man never to give up. We strive in knowing or else there would great strife in heart because of ignorance. Better communication restores, better communication heals and for this we have the Holy Spirit. We are better communicators because of His indwelling Spirit. This is what makes the believer different!

  • The Indwelling Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit must never be taken for granted. It is human nature to easily neglect the unseen. Our knowledge of God's workings is always initiated by faith. By faith the believer gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to know God. To often the world wants to know God by audio and sight but fail to understand it first takes faith to hear and see. Even the believer who is reborn can never be self reliant. In knowing God he is now led. Our ignorance for most part begins with our misunderstanding. We are glad to be believers, saved from eternal damnation yet we fail to pursue God knowing we cannot go on without Him. For many our salvation is the end of punishment and judgement and we therefore continue unashamedly with our earthly workings. The bible is clear that the believer ought to work out his salvation with fear and trembling. This is in no way possible without God here on earth. We therefore have His indwelling Spirit! Pray without ceasing!

  • The Holy Spirit and the Truth

The Holy Spirit is here to teach and guide us. The opposing spirit does just that - opposiing the work of the Holy Spirit. The work of the Holy Spirit is God ordained whilst the work of the evil spirit is Satan ordained. It is the duty of the church to discern what is of God and that which is not. The choice is left to the believer. In him laying hold of the gift of choice he becomes accountable if he chooses to follow the path of the evil one. The decision is mans' and then God's. First man chooses to let the Holy Spirit have his way and when man chooses the correct way then it is the Holy Spirit who acts on that decision. Man is accountable because of his gift of choice. The believer must first be aware that of the two choices he has, one is of God and the other is not. The choice to allow the Holy Spirit to reign in your life comes by faith. For it is by faith the believer allows the Spirit of God to have His way. What is not seen, nor heard from Heaven's corridors becomes ours for the taking because of our faith. Therefore it shall be the decision to allow the Spirit of God to have His way in your life inorder to hear and see God manifest! Pray without ceasing!
